how we work
Whether you intend to brief us for a permanent or interim position, before I start any search assignment, I consider a comprehensive intake essential to understanding your company’s objectives. In addition to noting the specifics of the vacancy, I am always interested in finding out your views on the candidates’ required skill set and ideal personality. Understanding the particular challenges your organisation is facing also helps me evaluate the right personality to fit in with your company’s culture, structure and outlook.
After your approval of the search profile, I will assess suitable candidates not only from my exclusive database but also from my extensive network. In order to avoid any late surprises, all CVs are validated, including verification of any degrees or diplomas.
Before candidates are selected for a permanent position, I offer them a unique, personal assessment interview by an experienced executive coach ((Maaike Strack van Schijndel). In this confidential interview, coach and candidate reflect on the next career step and assess taking on a new challenge.
Once I am convinced of a likely successful match, I introduce the candidates to you, supported by an extensive personal assessment. In the final round, I double check professional expertise, personality, achievements, competencies with at least 2 referees.
Once a definitive choice for a particular candidate has been made, mediation starts for both salary as well as fringe benefits. Once both parties reach agreement, final placement will be confirmed. An evaluation takes place after two months. If within two months of the start date the candidate proves to not be satisfactory or leaves of his or her own accord, the search will be restarted free of charge.
During the first 100 days of the placement, Welling Search offers the candidate the opportunity to be supported by an experienced executive coach (Maaike Strack van Schijndel) for a successful start in the organisation.
The hourly rate for candidates for interim assignments is determined during the intake. An evaluation will take place two months after the placement. In addition, I keep regular personal contact with the candidate throughout the placement as a sparring partner for sharing expertise when necessary.
Welling Search works with a market-based fee structure. The fee is linked to the salary level or the hourly rate of the candidate.
